Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Digital Trade in Africa

Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Digital Trade in Africa

iSOKO is a digital trade ecosystem and business enablement platform designed to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), women-led businesses, youth entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and trade associations by providing access to information, markets, networks, and business development services. Commissioned in 2023, iSOKO has reached over 100,000 trade communities across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia and DRC.

The platform was developed to address some of the most persistent barriers facing businesses in Kenya and across Africa, including limited access to market information, fragmented business support services, inadequate digital skills, and challenges in accessing regional and international trade opportunities.

By bringing together traders, buyers, service providers, business support organizations, financial institutions, and policymakers within a single digital ecosystem, iSOKO enables businesses to discover opportunities, build capacity, expand their markets, and participate more effectively in local, regional, and global value chains.

In Kenya, iSOKO is hosted and administrated by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
